RESEARCH

At the Centre for Historic Houses, we are dedicated to uncovering the history of our heritage to make sense of its future. Our primary areas of interest include cultural encounters between the East and the West, water palaces, and the work done by Sir Edwin Lutyens in New Delhi.

KNOWLEDGE TRANSFER

"Resilience: Historic Houses of India and their Custodians" is an online lecture series organized by the Centre for Historic Houses. Lectures, featuring eminent personalities from the field of Indian Heritage, are conducted every Friday at 8 pm IST.
'Historic Houses Beyond Tourism' is a roundtable that will be held in September, bringing together owners from Europe and India for the first time.

19 JULY: PALACE DAY

The Centre for Historic Houses introduced Palace Day to India for the first time in 2020, in collaboration with the Network of Royal European Residences. The participating Indian palaces turned it into World Palace Day.
